I occasionally let my staff do the cleaning but it doesn't feel the same. Why is that?
Our years of experience comes into play when dealing with hood cleaning. Our staff are trained and NFPA certified. We also use top-rated cleaning supplies and we own top-notch cleaning equipment. We can show you some techniques for a better clean but in order to comply with California’s regulations, it must be done by a pro at least 3 times a year.
How often should I clean my exhaust system?
Depends on your restaurant’s volume. For a 24-hour operated or a heavy-duty charbroiling joint we recommend a quarterly service. Moderate operations should be cleaned every six months. Low volume systems should be cleaned at least once a year, but if you use coal it should be cleaned on a monthly basis.
What does a hood cleaning include?
Our hood cleaning service is ‘cook top to roof top’. We start in the kichen where we cover areas that are not to be cleaned with plastic. We soak the filter and manually scrape the shaft. We then apply chemicals to the exhaust fan blades and rinse everything. We also use steam to better sanitize the duct area. Once done we clean and remove the plastic, and make sure everything is up and running.
Will I need to provide roof access?
Yes, we will need to access the roof to properly clean your hood. In some cases the kitchen exhaust fan is located on the side of the building or somewhere else.
How long does the service take?
It typically takes 3-4 to perform the service, but it depends on the system size, how much time elapsed since your last cleaning, how long is the shaft and the number of hoods/fans. Call us now for a free, same day estimate.
